6pm-8pm
Level: Intermediate
Prerequisite: Basic handgun proficiency (safe handling and marksmanship required)
Description:
Most defensive encounters happen in low-light or dark conditions—are you prepared to identify and engage threats when visibility is compromised? This class teaches you how to effectively use a flashlight in conjunction with a handgun, improving your target identification, control, and accuracy when the lights go out.
What You’ll Learn:
- Fundamentals of low-light shooting
- Flashlight techniques (handheld and weapon-mounted)
- Identifying threats vs. non-threats in the dark
- One-handed shooting and reloading with a flashlight
- Navigating corners, cover, and confined spaces
- De-escalation and communication in low-visibility environments
What Makes This Class Different:
- Hands-on drills in controlled low-light settings
- Optional simulation scenarios using the MILO training system (if available)
- Critical thinking under stress: shoot / no-shoot decisions in the dark
Note: No live ammunition is allowed in the classroom or simulator space. Range safety protocols will be strictly followed.
Ideal For:
Concealed carry holders, home defenders, law enforcement, or anyone serious about real-world defensive readiness.
