This is not a paper target or a classroom lecture. DESCRIPTION:This course meets all the requirements of the Ohio Revised Code to obtain a Concealed Handgun License in Ohio. Students learn safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the two handed standing position; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development.\n\nStudents should bring a legal handgun and 100 rounds of ammo. If you do not own a handgun\, please let us know before the class\, and one will be provided for you.  Also bring clothes that are suitable for the weather as you will be outside for two hours completing the range requirements. Boots are also recommended as it can get muddy at the range.\n\nFor questions call: JJ Bittinger\, Instructor (419) 565-2468\nRequirements Include:*You must be legally living in the United States and a resident of Ohio (or employed in Ohio).*You must be at least 21 years of age.*You must not be an unlawful user of\, or addicted to any controlled substance.*You must not be a fugitive from justice.*You must not be prohibited by federal law from possessing a firearm.*You must be able to pass a “NICS” criminal background check.\n\nThis is not a complete list. SUMMARY:Free Orientation for Those Planning to Enroll in a Future CCW Class
DESCRIPTION:This free orientation provides valuable information and prepares you for the CCW Class. \nWe’ll address your questions\, fears\, and anxiety\, ensuring you’re relaxed and ready to succeed. Education and preparedness are key at Hot Shots Training Academy. \nThis orientation answers questions like “What’s the difference between an Ohio CCW License and Constitutional Carry?” and “Do I need a handgun or experience to take a CCW Class?” We’ll also explain if you can participate in firearm training before the class. \nYou’ll learn about our Virtual Simulation Shooting Range\, where our CCW participants work out their nerves before they head out to complete their proficiency requirements at the  Live Range. Reviewing basic handgun safety\, using your sights\, adjusting grip\, or stance increases proficiency. The Live Range is a an easy\, 10-minute drive from our facility\, where CCW participants complete their proficiency requirements. \nRegister early as space is limited to only 40. \nHot Shots Shooting Center & Training Academy does not engage in gun sales. Our primary focus is on providing premium\, instructor-led firearms training and education within our state-of-the-art facility.
